Romania's Mission to Flood the World with Deadly Explosives
Bogdan Gruia, the Economic minister of Romania, has plans for his country's re-industrialization. On a visit to the Barlad Bearings Factory, he asked the management to seek a liscence for the supplying defense technology. Barlad, which is near the Moldova motorway, is part of an expansion plan for investing capital into the reconstruction of northeast Romania and Ukraine after the war. The factory has an entirely self-contained production cycle, one of only three in all of Europe. Given the 1 billion RON allocated in the 2025 budget for military industry, the factory stands to gain much by pivoting to defense manufacturing.
