St. Helena goes on vacation to Romania (she's alive btw)
The mother of St. Constantine the Great left some things behind. These relics will be making a trip to a southern Romanian monastery.
Originally she was buried in Rome, with her remains later moving to Constantinople. During the fourth crusade, westerners took her remains to Rome, where they have remained until recently.
Pantocrator Monastery will receive the remains during the centennial of the Romanian Patriarchate and the 1700th anniversary of the council of Nicaea.
